Children's Ministry

Sunday School is provided for students ages 4-12 during our Sunday worship services. 

Students will stay and worship for the first twenty minutes or so of the service. They are welcome to sit with their adults or with a children's ministry volunteer in the back of the sanctuary where we have quiet activities. 

Children are then dismissed to go downstairs to have an age-appropriate Bible lesson from a curriculum called Illustrated Ministry (https://www.illustratedministry.com/). 

We have worked very hard to create a safe, compassionate learning environment for kids. Fear is never used as a tool in our church altogether, but especially with the children. They are taught they are objects of God’s love, that we know this love through Jesus, and the ways of Jesus teach us how to live out God’s love in the world.

All adult volunteers are required to fill out an application and are background checked. We have policies and practices in place to make sure kids are never in a one-on-one private situation with an adult.
